Internet games (also known as online games) are games that are played online via the Internet. They are distinct from video and computer games in that they are normally platform independent, relying solely on client-side technologies (normally called 'plugins'). Normally all that is required to play Internet games are a web browser and the appropriate plugin (normally available for free via the plugin maker's website). A game played in a browser is often called a browser-based game.
Another type of online games are multiplayer online games (MMOG) which are a type of computer game that enables hundreds or thousands of players to simultaneously interact in a game world they are connected to via the Internet. Typically this kind of game is played in an online, multiplayer-only persistent world. Some MMOGs are played on a mobile device (usually a phone) and are thus Mobile MMOG or MMMOG or 3MOG.

Starting EverQuest 2 can get a little tricky and difficult. It may take alot of time if you are new to the mmorpg world and you have no idea what is going on. To begin you will have to create a character, keep in mind the name you give to your character will be permanent so make sure it's something that is satisfying to you and it does not violate any of SOE's terms otherwise they may ban your name.
