Green Bay is best known for their professional football team, “The Green Bay Packers.” The Packer Hall of Fame and the recently remodeled football stadium with its attached atrium are both great tourist attractions. There are many restaurants in Lambeau Field’s atrium such as Green Bay’s famous chili served at Chili Johns restaurants. Many of Green Bay’s restaurants are located near the stadium; for example there is the legendary Brett Favre’s Restaurant and Steakhouse and Green Bay’s original Kroll’s restaurants which are famous for their buttery burgers and yummy chili - a must do if it your first visit to the area.

Other attractions are the Bay Beach Amusement Park, which still has unbelievable bargain prices and classic rides. You can also race around the go cart course and try your hand at mini-golf located right across the street from Bay Beach, or stop by the nearby Wild Life Sanctuary to feed the ducks, and don’t miss out on some of the local restaurants nearby. For Mexican fare there is Maria’s restaurant, which has great authentic food. The city also has many beautiful parks and a beautiful botanical garden which is continuously growing. Even though Green Bay is not a huge metropolitan city, it does offer a large variety of unique entrepreneur restaurants throughout the city, besides the usual restaurant food chains.

De Pere is a charming little city on the eastern border of Green Bay. It is a historic city located on the Fox River with many quaint restaurants. Also situated on the river is St. Norbert, a private college with a beautiful campus. St. Norbert has their own theatre and the school’s production companies put on many great plays and musicals throughout the year. The city has many graceful old homes, clothing boutiques, and a one hundred year old family owned chocolate store which is a local staple.

Another option for theater, concerts, or shows with big names as well as local production companies is the gorgeous Weidner Center located on the University of Green Bay’s campus near the Bay, the Resch Center near Lambeau Field, and the beautifully refurbished Meyer Theater in downtown Green Bay which is conveniently located in the middle of Green Bay’s night life and some of Green Bay’s finest restaurants.
